Karen Blanchard Visits Macy's Herald Square
By Guest Blogger, Karen Blanchard from Where Did U Get That
Like many of you, I am a shopper, however I uprooted from London to move to New York—the land of shopping on steroids. When Macy’s Tourism asked me to spend a few hours experiencing the famous Macy's Herald Square, I was in—literally.
Armed with a 10% off Visitor Savings Pass from the Visitor’s Center, I hit the ground—or rather, the ground floor—running, knowing that I had a few things on my list. After scoring some party-ready makeup for myself and a cologne for my husband (both of which came loaded with gift samples), I took the famous wood escalators up to the fourth and fifth levels to stock up on boyfriend jeans, a cozy polo neck poncho and a plaid cape. The last two are perfect with denim or leather skinnies and ankle boots.
Speaking of shoes (every girl’s weakness), I scooped up these Coach runway metallic silver loafers, plus strappy heels for the winter social season.
Lastly, I plonked myself down in the chicest marble-finished Starbucks that I’ve personally ever visited. It's on the 2nd floor and they serve wine and champagne - hello! A few hours of shopping that can end like that—and all under one roof? As we say in England, I’ll have some of that!
XO,
Karen Blanchard
