Zipcar Partners with Macy's San Diego
Zipcar, a car sharing company well-known throughout the United States, and Macy's joined forces on September 1st to launch a unique campaign targeted to the college student population of San Diego. Zipcar has thousands and thousands of members and half of that membership base is students. A majority of San Diego students happen to be international students and students that have traveled from different states in the U.S. to attend college.
To give back to their members, Zipcar added the Macy's 10% Visitor Savings Pass to all 62 Zipcars dispersed throughout San Diego County. And, from September 1-8, new student members of Zipcar were eligible to win a $200 Shopping Spree at Macy's to help meet their back-to-school dorm needs. From September 8-24, Zipcar attended 14 different college fairs and orientations where they provided the Macy's 10% Visitor Savings Pass to anyone who approached their booth. Lastly, on September 25, Macy's staged a Private Shopping Event at Macy's Fashion Valley complete with a DJ, complimentary make-overs, MyStylist at Macy's tips and raffles to celebrate new student members of Zipcar.
