Chef Street in Macy's Herald Square is an indoor food truck court serving Japanese ramen, chicken wings, Latin-influenced dishes and American burgers.
I love food trucks! One of my favorite NYC traditions is strolling through the outdoor food courts that pop up in the city from spring through fall. The only problem is that once the temperature dips below a certain number they disappear. Fortunately, Macy’s new Chef Street has a solution.
Tucked into the new millennial floor known as “One Below,” there is a food truck court with four Airstream-style trailers offering mouthwatering dishes.
The Rooster’s Crow serves wings, chicken tenders, fries and a spicy chicken sandwich; Sabroso features a Cuban sandwich, a half rotisserie chicken, roasted marinated pork shoulder, fried green plantains and sweet plantain chips; Tabo Noodles serves renowned Chicago Chef Takashi Yagihashi's ramen, bao buns and dumplings; and Rollie’s serves burgers, beef hot dogs and shakes.
Virtually everything is delicious!
Chef Street offers lunch and dinner service seven days a week from 11:30 am-9:30 pm, Sun.-Thurs. and 11:30 am-10:00 pm Fri.-Sat. You can also customize your own creation at the salad bar, or pick up something from the grab n’ go area, which serves special menu items made fresh every day. There really is something for everyone here.
Hope to see you at Chef Street soon!
