Macy’s and Stonewall Kitchen: A Perfect Collaboration
Back in 1991, Jonathan King and Jim Stott founded the Stonewall Kitchen brand with beautifully packaged homemade jams and jellies sold at local Maine farmers’ markets. The items were big hits and, over time, the specialty foods product line expanded to include a multitude of new products—from sauces and condiments to crackers and baking mixes. Today, they are sold in over 6,000 outlets nationwide and internationally, nine Company Stores in Maine, by catalogue and online. Stonewall Kitchen selects only the finest ingredients for their products and crafts them in small batches. Their mission is to ensure that every bite of their products is made with the same amount of care, creativity and passion for flavor as their first jams.
One of the most awarded specialty food companies in the country, Stonewall Kitchen has been working with Macy’s since 2002 and their products are now in more than 500 Macy’s locations. During the holidays, Macy’s and Stonewall Kitchen collaborate to create custom gift packaging exclusively for Macy’s.
In November 2018, Stonewall Kitchen opened its first retail locations on the West Coast and established its second Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School and Café, based in the Home Store of the Macy's South Coast Plaza location in Costa Mesa, California. (Its inaugural cafe and school is located in York, Maine.)

The Stonewall Kitchen Cafe
Geared to customers of all ages who share an appreciation for well-crafted, high-quality products, a zest for life and a love of delicious foods, the Cafe features the same classic New England fare made famous at Stonewall Kitchen's flagship York, Maine, location, such as the best-selling Lobster B.L.T. Sandwich, New England Clam Chowder, and the Alaska Cod Sandwich with Down East Tartar Sauce. Also, on the menu: deli sandwiches, specialty salads and quiche, plus kid favorites like the award-winning Cafe Burger and the Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich made with Stonewall Kitchen Wild Maine Blueberry Jam.

The Stonewall Kitchen Cooking School
The Cooking School offers a variety of demonstration classes for lunch and dinner led by chef instructors, including guest chefs. Sample classes include the New England Indoor Clam Bake, East Coast Meets West Coast and Brunchtime Delights, along with an annual celebration of Julia Child and other special events. With 24 seats available, each class is ideal for a delicious lunch, date night or girls' night out.

Classes are demonstration rather than hands-on and offer plenty of opportunity to learn new tips, ask questions and interact with the chef and staff.
- Locally Sourced Ingredients
In addition to offering the best culinary experience to guests, the Cooking School sources fresh food and products from local growers, artisans and suppliers whenever possible.
Eggs are laid by free range chickens. The poultry is humanely raised and fed a vegetarian diet without antibiotics or growth hormones. The meats, produce, seafood and dairy are all locally sourced.
- Generous portions of each course and a complete recipe packet to recreate the meal at home!
- Complimentary water, coffee and tea during class. Guests 21 years and older may purchase wine and beer.
