I love food trucks! One of my favorite NYC traditions is strolling through the outdoor food courts that pop up in the city from spring through fall. The only problem is that once the temperature dips below a certain number they disappear. Fortunately, Macy’s new Chef Street has a solution.

Tucked into the new millennial floor known as “One Below,” there is a food truck court with four Airstream-style trailers offering celebrity dishes.

Taquitoria serves Chef Marc Forgione’s tacos; Crumb on Parchment features salads, grain bowls and sandwiches from the acclaimed Miami Chef Michelle Bernstein; Tabo Noodles serves renowned Chicago Chef Takashi Yagihashi's ramen, bao buns and dumplings; and Rollie’s serves sandwiches on rolls. Virtually everything is delicious!

Chef Street celebrated its grand opening last week with appearances by Marc Forgione and Takashi Yagihashi. They shared samples of their signature dishes available at the food trucks and mingled with the crowd. Marc himself served his famous tacos and Takashi, his signature dumplings!

Chef Street will offer all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner service seven days a week from 9 am-10 pm. There is also a quick “grab & go” take-away area with fresh sandwiches, salads and pastries. Executive Chef Jarett Appell and Chef de Cuisine Jimmy Choe oversee the culinary programs. There really is something for everyone here.

If you are visiting Macy’s Herald Square from near or far, stop by the Visitor Center located on the Balcony level for your 10% Savings Pass good on thousands of items throughout the store. If your travels take you elsewhere in the United States, stop by any Macy’s store and ask for a 10% Savings Pass.

Hope to see you at Chef Street soon!
